FAQS:
GENERAL
Q: What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy is a clinical service focused on healing emotional pain, managing mental health symptoms, and understanding how your past affects your present. Coaching is a non-clinical, future-focused process that supports personal growth, goal-setting, and behavior change. Therapy is for healing; coaching is for forward movement. Therapy can focus on similar forward movement as coaching but coaching does not focus on healing of the past. See my services offered page for more information.
Q: How do I know which one I need?
If you're dealing with significant emotional distress, past trauma, or symptoms like anxiety or depression, therapy may be the best fit. If you're feeling stuck, facing a life transition, or looking for direction, coaching might be more appropriate. You can also email me or set up a free consultation call to answer any questions about the process of therapy versus coaching.
Q: Do you offer virtual sessions outside of Ohio, Florida, or Washington?
All therapy sessions are restricted to those three states. I am licensed in those states so you will have to be a resident and present in the state to have virtual sessions with me. As for coaching, those limitations do not exist so I can see you wherever you live in the USA.

COACHING
Q: What kind of coaching do you offer?
I offer coaching in areas like life transitions, identity development, financial wellness, emotional awareness, and personal growth. Coaching with me is helps us identify what’s holding you back, tap into your strengths, and create actionable steps toward a life that feels intentional, fulfilling, and yours.
Q: Is coaching like therapy?
Not exactly. Coaching doesn’t involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. Instead, it focuses on where you are now, where you want to be, and how to get there. It’s future-focused, goal-oriented, and built on collaboration. Focusing on the practical goals in life do have an impact on mental health but not in the clinical way therapy does.
Q: Can you do both coaching and therapy with me?
While I can offer both services to clients, they must remain separate due to legal and ethical guidelines. We can discuss your needs and decide together which path makes the most sense for your goals in a free consultation call.
